The City of Conway recognizes the role of art in providing citizens with a quality environment, cultural enrichment, and a shared symbol of community. Public art is a means to foster a community dialog, and to define a community identity, and promote Conway’s cultural heritage.

The Conway Public Art Committee was created by Resolution R-04-38 on November 30, 2004 as a committee to facilitate the enhancement of public space with murals, sculptures, and other forms of public decorative arts.
